The theme for this year&#8217;s conference was\u00a0<em>&#8220;Sexualities in the Social World&#8221;<\/em> which focused on\u00a0a full range of sociological topics in addition to showcasing exciting new research on sexualities across many subfields.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Associate Professor Hayes was invited to be a panellist alongside other leading scholars in the field for\u00a0the session titled &#8216;Sexual Violence&#8217;. In\u00a0this session, panellists presented\u00a0some of the most empirically grounded and analytically sensitive research on sexual assault, interpersonal violence, and sexuality.
