We all knew it was going to be good… but we had no idea it would be this good! The Asia Pacific Cities Summit was an amazing experience for all of us.
The fast-paced, informative and engaging nature of the summit kept us all on our toes as we listened to inspiring keynote speakers such as the charismatic Randi Zuckerberg. The stimulating environment made it impossible for us to hold back from eagerly contributing our views on a number of different topics with other like-minded young professionals at the Young Professionals’ Forum.
Throughout the summit, we had the opportunity to discuss pivotal issues with Mayors, Governors and entrepreneurs from throughout the world! Who would have thought that I would come out of a summit having had in-depth conversations with the Governor of Beirut, Lebanon, and be Facebook friends with the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Graham Quirk? Certainly not me!
I’m sure that the 7 other QUT delegates will agree with me when I say that the valuable information learnt and contacts made at the Asia Pacific Cities Summit will prove to be beneficial for our future studies and careers.
I cannot wait to see the impact that the innovative and passionate young professionals will have on the development of Brisbane as it continues to grow and prosper.
