OCTOBER Tea and Buns | Can people thrive (not just survive) during times of change?

Our workforce is the single greatest resource our organisations have.

But what do we need to do to strengthen team performance to achieve our organisation’s purpose?

Sharon Blackburn has been a leader for many years in a wide variety of organisations in the UK and Australia so she has a wealth of understanding about the impact of different leadership approaches. She has currently been leading an aged care workforce through a time of change and scrutiny, and has been using an approach called SONA®.

We will be chatting with Sharon about what she has learnt, and what she has done, to build the organisational culture, and engage the workforce to contribute in meaningful ways.

Sharon Blackburn was member of a former UK Prime Ministers Nursing and Care Quality Forum. She has served on a number of Boards including being a Director the Residential Forum; Director of Common Age; Board Member of EAHSA and Vice Chair of NAPA. In 2016, Sharon was awarded a CBE in the New Year’s Honours for services to nursing and the not-for-profit care sector.
