Throwback Thursday: First Year Edition

It’s 2013, and my first year of university has proven to be a challenge. I’ve met so many great people, but studying for uni is still so new to me.

In high school, I’d always found that if I put the minimum amount of effort in, I could usually get a pretty good grade. At university, I found that minimal effort just doesn’t cut it.

IT IS OK NOT TO BE READY FOR UNI!

We all know what the final year of school does – we are absolutely over assignments, and so was I! I took a gap year because I was not ready to live out of the home with no real experience. The school was a big struggle for me when I came to Australia in the middle of grade 11 and was trying to figure out the new school system and, of course, the Australian accent.

What is it like to be a podiatry student in a public health facility?

In the fourth year of the podiatry course, there are a required number of days of public (hospitals and community centres) and private (podiatry businesses) placements which must be completed before the end of the year.
