Need some help with maths or stats?

Struggling with statistics? Finding that core maths unit or clinical prac a bit of a headache? Then you might like to take advantage of the great services & support that the QUT Maths Access Centre (QUTMAC) has to offer.

QUTMAC provides support in numeracy, mathematics and statistics across all disciplines, including nursing and education.  You can access generic and faculty-specific resources and worksheets online via the Blackboard site, or if you’d prefer some more hands-on assistance, drop-in sessions are available on all campuses.

Johnny Thew will be at the Caboolture library every Monday between 11am and 5pm if you would like to drop in for some help. He is also available on Thursdays, please email ( by Wednesday afternoon to make an appointment.

QUT Maths Access Centre

Did you know the Maths Access Centre, or QUTMAC for short, has drop in spaces at Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and Caboolture?

QUT Maths Access Centre is operated by experienced staff and maths/education student volunteers, and they love mathematics and statistics! If you need help building your confidence in these areas QUTMAC is for you. It is open to all QUT students. Feel free to drop in at the following times:

  • Gardens Point. O Block, room O-304. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday
  • Kelvin Grove Library. R Block, Level 3, in the collaborative space next to the training room. 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday during semester from week 2
  • Caboolture Library. B Block, Level 2. 8.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. Wednesday and 1.30 to 5 p.m. Friday during semester from week 1
