Chances are you haven’t committed a major crime but, whether you realise it or not, the law is always around us. It governs our driving, our downloads, our interactions with others, our behaviour in public, our housing and much more.
National Law Week runs from May 11-15 to promote public understanding of the law and its role in society.
The good news is that you don’t have to be studying at QUT to find out about what our legal boffins are up to:
- Use ePrints to find all the latest research coming out of the Faculty of Law at QUT
- Follow Faculty of Law academics like Nic Suzor, Kerry Carrington, Peter Black, Belinda Carpenter, Angela Dwyer and John Humphrey on Twitter
- Check out all the amazing collections in the Law Library (including our rare materials collection!)
- Use our many Law, Policing and Criminology subject guides to get a headstart on your legal knowledge and research
So next time you want to complain about a noisy neighbour or download a copy of Dallas Buyer’s Club, think about us and all our amazing resources or contact the Department of Justice for legal advice.
