When I told people that I would be spending my weekend – both entire days, Saturday and Sunday! – doing university-related things instead of enjoying the sub-Summer temperatures like the rest of Brisbane, many people told me that something must’ve been wrong or I needed the extra credit.
I have now been in Gothenburg, Sweden for one week. Whilst I still have so much more to explore in this amazing city, I have already learned some valuable features about Gothenburg and Swedish culture.
Oh Denmark. Where do I even begin…
As I sit on the plane making my (long) journey home to Australia, I can’t help but think how incredible the last five weeks have been. Over July and into August 2017, I was lucky enough to go on exchange to the beautiful city of Aarhus (pronounced or-hus), attending the Aarhus University Summer University, to study Sports Marketing and Sponsorship.
Where do I start? Last week I was fortunate enough to attend the University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS) based for the first time at the United Nations (UN) Building in Bangkok, Thailand. This event has definitely been life-changing to say the least. I had the opportunity to represent QUT and Australia, interacting with 902 delegates from over 72 countries.
